Company to Unveil Revolutionary Waste-to-Energy Project By Fall

Washington, DC (PRWEB) July 17, 2014

As Pure Energy Group (PEG) prepares to introduce its groundbreaking waste-to-energy technology in California later this summer, the company announced today it has joined the American Biogas Council (ABC), the first and only trade association in the U.S. representing organizations dedicated to maximizing the production and use of biogas from organic waste.

The American Biogas Council is the nations leader for our industry. As we prepare for the official launch of our urban anaerobic digestion system, it was important for us to team up with an organization that shares our principals and goals of promoting the production and use of renewable energy, said Brandon Julian, PEGs CEO. Were excited about the potential to partner with member companies as the industry prepares to take anaerobic energy production mainstream.

PEG has recently completed construction of a waste-to-energy system at a San Francisco Bay Area brewery and is currently in beta mode, expecting to be at full production capacity later this summer.

Our new system will provide an opportunity for the biogas industry to showcase how new technologies such as ours can more effectively reduce the amount of waste going into local landfills while generating a substantial, economically viable source of energy, said Julian. Were excited to share with other stakeholders how our anaerobic digester will be a game-changer for the industry.

Using patented technology developed at Utah State University, PEGs high-rate anaerobic digestion technology offers the ability to convert organic waste streams, such as food and other organic urban waste, into renewable clean energy.

Were excited that Pure Energy Group is joining our ranks, said Patrick Serfass, Executive Director of the American Biogas Council. The addition of PEG to our association will create synergies within our membership and contribute to our long-term mission of maximizing the amount of biogas produced from organic waste. Historically the ABC has been a leader in promoting new technologies that not only benefit the environment but are commercially viable and we look forward to continuing that legacy with PEG.

PEGs project has the ability to generate power around the clock while reducing organic waste by 70 percent or more.

As this will be the first waste-to-energy system to be permitted and operational in an urban setting, we see the potential to grow into different industries and communities such as technology campuses with large cafeterias, university campuses, military bases, correctional facilities and any other enterprise that generates a large amount of organic waste, Julian said. The skys the limit and were excited to debut our fully operational system later this summer.
