5-year-old girl hit by car

A 5-year-old-girl is in the hospital tonight with life-threatening injuries after she was hit by a car.

Pima County Deputies tell us it happened just before 7 p.m. near Orange Grove Road and Skyline Dr.  When deputies arrived, they learned the 5-year-old and her 7-year-old brother were crossing the street.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor.  The Sheriff’s Department Traffic Unit responded and took over the investigation.
