This past weekend's country music brought in tens of millions of dollars to Cincinnati.
Cincinnati USA Regional Tourism Network reports the month of July is typically the peak of the summer travel season and with new offerings like Jason Aldean at Great American Ballpark and Buckle Up Festival, an added power and attractiveness was brought to the region.
Cincinnati has a $4.1 billion annual travel and tourism economy, and this past weekend is said to have brought in tens of millions of dollars.
Together Buckle Up and the Jason Aldean concert brought 80,000 people downtown.
A cab driver said it made for a busy night, but one that was profitable as well.
Eli's BBQ, a local restaurant was at Buckle up. On Saturday alone they served 1,700 sandwiches, allowing the restaurant to spread its name and good taste to many.
"Even though we are pretty popular in the city, we still had so many people in the festival say like we've never tried you and we have wanted to and this is awesome," said Andrew Aragon from Eli's BBQ.

Forty percent of Buckle Ups attendance were people from outside the greater Cincinnati area and that also gave business to hotels. The Westin downtown reported having only one room unoccupied during the weekend.
