Victim shot to death in Tucson identified

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Tucson Police Department has released the name of the man who died after a Tuesday morning shooting in the 1500 block of South Craycroft Road. 32-year old Paul David Lauderdale has been identified as the man who was shot and killed, according to TPD.

According to Tucson Police they received a call shortly after 9 a.m. about a fight between several individuals. Detectives initially believed that gunfire was exchanged, but we have now learned only one person fired multiple shots during the altercation where Lauderdale was fatally wounded.

Witnesses told TPD they saw individuals running from the scene in several directions, shortly after the gunfire was heard. Several people were detained and questioned regarding the shooting.

TPD said the incident appears to be gang-related.

Those with information are asked to call the Tucson Police Department or 88-CRIME.
