TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

One suspect is behind bars and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department asks for the public’s help in identifying the remaining suspects of an alleged burglary in the 6100 block of S. Holly Drive.

A witness told sheriff’s deputies four suspects fled the scene on July 21 before 3 p.m. and one was on a bike that officials later found in front of a residence in the 6000 block of S. Palo Verde Road, according to PCSD Chief Deputy Chris Nanos.

Detectives surrounded the home and detained the suspects outside. One man who ran was caught after a short foot chase and a witness identified him as a burglary suspect. He was later identified as 27-year-old Martin Santa Maria. The PCSD obtained a search warrant for the home, where they found items from the burglary. More of the evidence was discovered in a nearby wash, according to a news release.

Authorities booked Santa Maria into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex on a charge of second degree burglary. Deputies said he had three outstanding felony warrants, including one from the PCSD for armed robbery, one from another department for failure to appear in court following a theft charge and a probation violation from the U.S. Marshals Service relating to narcotics charges.

Anyone with information on the remaining suspects is urged to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
