EINDHOVEN, NETHERLANDS (POOL/CNN) - The victims' remains of the Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 arrived in the Netherlands Wednesday.

As hearses carrying the victims processed through the streets of the Netherlands, mourners filled bridges and overpasses to watch.

A moment of silence was held at Schiphol Airport, where the plane originated from last Thursday.

Of the 298 people who died when the plane was shot down over Ukraine, 193 were Dutch citizens. Dutch officials say the bodies will be taken to a military facility for forensic testing.

The jetliner was downed last week by a suspected surface-to-air missile over eastern Ukraine.
