Los Angeles, CA (KOLD) - In an effort to curb declining attendance at conference football games, Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott has teamed up with AT&T, Stanford University, and Sporting Innovations to figure out a way to improve numbers. Of those three partners the one that stands out is Sporting Innovations, not necessarily because of what they do, but who they primarily do it for.
Sporting Innovations is a consulting firm associated with Sporting Kansas City of Major League's Soccer and they're rapidly expanding their client list. The Wall Street Journal's Ben Cohen recently wrote about how back in May, athletic administrators from the Southeastern Conference traveled to Sporting Kansas City to observe how the club combines fan interaction with technology to create a game day atmosphere that schools like Stanford could only dream of. Consider the Pac-12 on board.
