GAZA (CNN) - In Gaza, a brief respite from fighting has led to the discovery of dozens of bodies.

More than forty victims were found in areas too dangerous to enter in recent days due to the fighting between Hamas and Israel.

Both sides agreed to a 12-hour humanitarian cease-fire Saturday morning.

This, as U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry leads an international effort to get Israel and Hamas to stop the airstrikes and rocket fire for at least seven days.

More than 900 people, mostly civilians, have died in the fighting.
