Auburn football to face Clemson in 2016 and 2017

AUBURN, AL (WSFA) -

Auburn Director of Athletics Jay Jacobs announced on Wednesday Auburn and Clemson have agreed to play a football home-and-home series in 2016 and 2017.

These series will begin with Auburn hosting Clemson on September 3, 2016 before traveling to Clemson on September 9, 2017.

The two teams have met 49 times in football with Auburn holding a 34-13-2 advantage. The two programs had their most recent meeting in 2012.

A limited number of season, mini-season and single-game tickets for the 2014 season are now available to the general public. Auburn begins preparations for the season with the Tigers open fall camp August 1.
