Suicidal man surrenders to SWAT in Vail

TUCSON, AZ (TNN) – Regional SWAT spent Wednesday evening and night talking a 17 year old man out of shooting himself in the head.

A Pima County Sheriff Department spokesman said that about 5:25 p.m. a 911 caller reported looking out the window and seeing the man standing in a ditch with a gun pointed to his head. He appeared to be surrounded by people who were trying to talk him into putting the gun on the ground. This was in the 10800 block of S. Alley Mountain Road in Vail.

Sheriff’s deputies were also unsuccessful in talking the man into putting down the gun. SWAT responded with negotiators. Five hours later, the man surrendered to SWAT. Authorities took him to a hospital for mental help. Because of the nature of the man’s mental state, no charges were filed at that time.

Why did Cracker Barrel fire Brad's wife? It's really no one's business, other than Brad's and his wife's, but that hasn't stopped people around the world from demanding answers after a Harrison County, IN, man publicly asked the restaurant chain why his wife Nanette was let go from her job at the Cracker Barrel in Corydon.
