Tyler Police arrest two teens in business burglary

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

Two people are in custody after the burglary of a Tyler mobile phone store. 

At 1:53 a.m. Tuesday, Tyler police were dispatched to a commercial burglar alarm at the Boost Mobile store in the 100 block of North Beckham. When officers arrived, they saw two suspects running from the business.

One person was quickly taken into custody. The other, ran toward a wooded area and additional officers conducted a search. While looking for the individual, police found the security cameras from the store and were able to identify the second suspect who was arrested at his residence a short time later. Three cell phones were stolen from the store, they were all recovered.

The suspects are 14-year-old and 15-year-old Hispanic juveniles. Both are charged with burglary of a building.

    It’s an unusual site at Saguaro national Park East. There are several cars lined up along Freeman Street and the entrance gate to the park is closed and locked. All due to the government shutdown. The park is allowing visitors to hike or ride a bike on the trails.

    More than 2,600 Tucson Electric Power customers have their power back on Saturday evening. The majority of the customers had it returned before 5:00 p.m., with roughly 250 others seeing the restoration before 7:00 p.m.
