Red Cross drives across Southern Arizona help with blood shortages

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The American Red Cross is asking eligible blood donors for their support to help prevent a summer shortage.

During the summer months, every blood drive gets an average of about two fewer donors than they need to meet the needs of patients.

Summer vacations tend to leave blood drives with fewer donors and fewer donations. But you can help the Red Cross avoid a summer shortage by making an appointment or going to one of the many blood drives.
