TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Milan, Italy scored in the bottom of the seventh inning to edge Sunnyside Softball 6-5 Monday in pool play at the Little League Juniors World Series.

Gloria D’Autorio had two hits and two RBI for Italy.

Yannira Acuna had three hits and knocked in two runs for Sunnyside (9-2, 1-1), who lost for just the second time in this All-Star post-season. Arlett Arreola had a pair of his and also drove in two runs.

Sunnyside will play Eagle Pass, Texas on Tuesday at 10:45 a.m. Tucson time before wrapping up pool play with Baja, Mexico on Wednesday (11:00 a.m.).

In all likelyhood the ladies from Tucson's south side will need to win both those games to advance to the semifinals and have a chance to win a second straight World Series Championship.
