A new leg of construction continues on the southeast side

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A new leg of long term construction kicked off Tuesday morning, posing traffic problems for southeast side commuters.

Pima County Department of Transportation workers will work to mill and pave Wilmot Road between Valencia Road and I-10 on Tuesday and Wednesday. The main construction hours are 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Milling took place on Tuesday and final paving work will happen Wednesday. Keep in mind speed limits through the area will be reduced to 25 miles per hour.

Slow down and watch out for construction workers and equipment.
