TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Police say a Tucson man stole a computer tablet from firefighters while they were out on a call, though he didn't get far and is now under arrest.

Tucson Fire Department officials say Joseph Lesperance swiped the tablet on Sunday, Aug. 10 from the Laos Transit Center on West Irvington while TFD treated somebody who had a seizure.

A paramedic had just set the tablet down when the suspect took off with it.

Firefighters called police and they caught up with the suspect a few blocks away. He reportedly tried to run, but the tablet fell out of his waistband when he jumped a fence.

Police got both the suspect and the tablet, which wasn't damaged. Firefighters now have it back.
