TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

It's do or die for Sunnyside.

The Juniors Softball team fell Tuesday 14-8 in their pool play game to Eagle Pass, Texas. The second straight loss for Sunnyside puts them in must-win situation for the rest of the World Series tournament starting with their 11 a.m. Wednesday pool play finale against Baja, Mexico.

Win and Sunnyside (1-2) will qualify for one of the four quarterfinal positions in the tournament. Lose and the Tucson team is out. At least now Manny Tapia's girls know what they must do. It's going to take four straight victories for the "young ladies in purple" to win a 2nd straight championship

For the third straight game Sunnyside had to rally from behind as they spotted the Southwest team a 6-0 early lead only to tie at 6-6 in the 5th.

Arlett Arreola smacked a three-run home run for Sunnyside. Yannira Acuna and Amaya Turner each had two hits.
