TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Pima County's largest animal adoption agency is mixing a weekend adoption event with a drag show.

IBT's Bar and local LGBTQ organizations are helping to organize Pima Animal Care Center's first Pride Adoption Celebration on Saturday, Aug. 16 from 5 to 10 p.m. at the main shelter at 4000 N. Silverbell Road, according to PACC officials.

The event will include a drag and pet show at 8 p.m., food trucks, prizes, vendors, music and entertainment. Pets available for adoption will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. PACC says every adopting family will get free pet care goodies.

PACC says the event is meant to celebrate the support from every community in Pima County.
