TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Pima Animal Care Center is one of 50 animal shelters in the country still in the running for the ASPCA Rachel Ray 100K Challenge.

PACC says a $25,000 award from the contest will help support the costs of its homeless and injured animals. The shelter asks the public to help with voting in the final weeks of the competition.

To vote, participants will navigate to www.votetosavelives.org and connect the app to the user's Facebook page, and vote through the app every day through Aug. 31.
