TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The first day of school at the University of Arizona is still about a week away, but wildcats are already making their way back into town. This year, some changes for students on campus and in the area.

This is the first school year UA students will now be able to ride the Tucson Streetcar to get around from campus along 4th Avenue and into downtown.

Incoming sophomore Ryan Castro moved in to his new apartment near the UA with the help of his parents Sunday. He is looking forward to meeting new people and starting new classes. He also plans to use the streetcar to get around.

Another change this year for incoming wildcats is the UA changing its smoking policy for anyone who spends time on campus. Starting Aug. 25, students, staff, and visitors will be allowed to smoke e-cigarettes outside on campus, but not inside buildings.

Originally, the policy banned all tobacco inside and outside building on campus.

Students who will be living on campus will be moving into dorms starting Wednesday, so the public should expect additional traffic in the UA area this week.
