Madison store clerk robbed at gunpoint

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A convenience store clerk was robbed at gunpoint as he was closing the store for the night.

Police said the clerk was closing the store, located at 107 E. Due West Ave., about 1 a.m. when a man forced his way in the front door, robbed the clerk at gunpoint and stealing cash from the register.

Police said the suspect was about 5'7", slender, wearing black pants and black shirt.

After the robbery, the suspect ran eastbound on Due West Avenue.
