Man shot leaving north Nashville apartment building

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A man was shot leaving a north Nashville apartment building after telling the robber he didn't have anything with him.

Police said the 40-year-old victim was leaving an apartment building on Albion Street about 11:20 p.m. when he was approached by a man driving a light blue Chevrolet Malibu.

The victim told police the man attempted to rob him. The victim said he didn't have any property, then heard one shot and fell to the ground.

The suspect drove toward Charlotte Pike without taking anything. The victim was shot at least once in the leg and was taken to a hospital by private vehicle.

Officers could not locate a crime scene.

    Dozens of people spent Wednesday afternoon putting the finishing touches on their wagons for the annual Tucson Rodeo Parade. There are a total of 81 wagons in this year's parade. Close to 2,400 people and 560 horses will be walking in the parade as well.
