TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Pima County Sheriff's Department asks for the public's help in identifying a man suspected of snatching a woman's purse while in the produce aisle of a Walmart store.

A 63-year-old woman told police the suspect ran up from behind her and grabbed her purse from her shopping cart while she was looking in another direction. Surveillance footage also supports her given information, according to PCSD Deputy Tom Peine.

PCSD suspects the man is a known shoplifter at the store in the 2800 block of W. Valencia Road.

Authorities described him as a young Hispanic man, 5'8” tall and wore dark clothing and a red hat.

Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
