OREGON, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Oregon Police have arrested one man for a break-in, but they say another suspect is still on the loose.

Police say an investigation into a car break-in led them to a storage unit theft.

One of the men allegedly involved is 19-year-old Blaine Yarick, who is in custody.

Yarick is accused of breaking into a car at Oregon Arms Apartments and stealing softball equipment.

"All the things that were missing from the victim's car were located at the suspect's apartment," said Oregon Police Det. Mike Blazebich.

Police were able to determine who broke into the car using the apartment's surveillance video. Once they found Yarick's apartment, police discovered more stolen items.

"Putting everything together, I saw two flat-screen TVs, one a 50-inch and the other a 42," Det. Blazebich said.

After further questioning, police learned the TVs were stolen from Stop-n-Stor Self Storage.

"We were able to locate someone's property," Blazebich said. "A lot of times, we never get that stuff back, so it feels good when we can get it back to them."

The detective says there are steps you can take to avoid having your property stolen.

"Do not leave things of value in your car," he said. "It's too easy for people to get into a car. And as for storage units – make sure it's locked."

Oregon Police currently have a warrant out for a second suspect.
