CD-2 race is rematch of very close 2012 race

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The race for Congress in District 2, which covers southeastern Arizona over to the New Mexico state line, could be a close one, because it is a rematch of a highly competitive race.

Martha McSally easily defeated her primary challengers on Tuesday night and received the Republican nomination. McSally is a Harvard graduate and a former Air Force combat pilot. She will face Democrat incumbent Congressman Ron Barber in November. Barber beat McSally by less than one percentage point in the 2012 election.

The November election is less than three months away.
