Elderly Mesa man with dementia found safe

MESA, AZ (CBS5) -

Mesa police say they've found a 88-year-old man with dementia who disappeared from his Valley home early Wednesday afternoon.

Mesa police said Melvin Wright was found safe, as of 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Wright was last seen about 1:15 p.m. near Broadway Road and Power in Mesa.

He moved to Mesa from Illinois about three weeks ago and was not familiar with the area, police said.
