TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - An exit ramp on westbound Interstate 10 near Benson is closed because of a disabled tractor-trailer.

The Arizona Department of Transportation is alerting drivers to the closure, caused by a disabled oversize load on State Route 80 in Cochise County.

Drivers are advised to use Ocotillo Road (exit 304) to access westbound I-10 while the ramp to exit 303 is closed. Crews are currently working to repair the damaged trailer, so that it can continue toward Phoenix. According to ADOT, if the repairs are not completed Thursday, the ramp will remain closed until after Labor Day weekend.

The truck and trailer is 286 feet long, weighs 938,000 pounds and is hauling a generator to the APS Red Hawk Generator Station in  Arlington, AZ.
