ALLOUEZ, WI (WFRV/CNN) – In July, Cami Behl unexpectedly gave birth to baby Doug Jr. at home.

Cami and her husband, Doug Sr., noticed the newborn wasn't breathing and didn't have a pulse.

They called 911 to save their baby.

The firefighters and EMTs who responded were able to revive baby Doug on the way to the hospital, but the infant still had a tough ride ahead of him.

After a lengthy hospital stay, baby Doug was on oxygen and still closely monitored.

Doctors gave him the “all clear” last week.

The Behl family is grateful to the firefighters and EMTs who saved their son's live.

“It's an amazing event to see potentially what is a passed away infant, and to now have an infant that is alive again that's alive again right in your arms,” Jeff Huguet of the Green Bay Metro Fire Department said.
