TUCSON, AZ -

The Pima Community College football team (1-4) couldn't stop No. 10 Arizona Western College on Saturday as the Aztecs fell 49-13 in Yuma.

The Aztecs gave up the first 28 points of the game; 21 in the first quarter. Deontay Townsend (Mountain Pointe HS) had two touchdowns for the game. The Aztecs took advantage on two penalties by Arizona Western as Townsend (Mountain Pointe HS) scored on a 9-yard run with 2:19 left in the second quarter to cut Arizona Western's lead to 28-7. In the third quarter, Kian Homme threw two first down passes each to DeQuavan Brooks (Santa Rita HS) and Angel Holmes (Cienega HS) to set up Townsend for the 16-yard screen pass touchdown to make it 28-13.

Arizona Western responded on their next possession to make it 35-13 with 4:19 left in the third. Pima was outscored 21-6 in the second half.

The Aztecs will host Scottsdale Community College next Saturday at Sahuarita High School.
