TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The Road Recovery Project continues on the west side this week, as crews resurface a portion of Speedway Boulevard.

The milling and paving work will take place on Speedway Boulevard between Greasewood Road and Silverbell Road. The main work hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. However, look for construction barriers to slow traffic around the clock.

Tucson Department of Transportation workers will mill and pave the strip of street through Friday, November 7.  Crews will continue final paving operations on Monday. This will take place here through Thursday, November 13.

Speedway Boulevard will funnel to one lane while this construction happens, so it will cause delays for drivers in each direction.

The pavement improvement is part of the $100 million, five year street bond program called Road Recovery. This is funded by voter-approved bonds.

Residential access should be maintained at all times during construction work, except when heavy equipment is parked in front of a driveway.

More information on the Road Recovery Program can be found at www.tucsonaz.gov/streetbonds
