TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Christmas came early for a lot of smiling children in Tucson on Sunday. About 30 kids, who live in group homes or foster homes, spent a few hours at Golf 'N Stuff on Sunday for a holiday party, arranged by Court Appointed Special Advocates.
CASA said 3,800 children in Pima County will be in foster or group homes this holiday, away from their parents and siblings. A lot of these kids have dealt with abuse and neglect in their lives.
For many of them, Sunday's party was their first time celebrating Christmas. The kids all left today with a teddy bear in hand.
CASA hosts a fun holiday event for the kids every year.
