TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The 25th Fort Lowell Soccer Shootout sponsored by the Tucson Association of Realtors kicks of Friday night at 6 p.m. with the Parade of Athletes followed by the Soccer Olympics where players compete in dribbling, juggling, accuracy and shootout event.

The Soccer Olympics will be played both Friday (U11-U16 players) and Saturday (U9-U10 players) nights.

More than 325 teams are expected to compete at this premier event with 596 games schedule on some 50 fields throughout the Tucson-area.

Added to the events this year will be a fireworks shows prior to Friday night's festivities.

Our David Kelly caught up with event founders Bill Viner and Rueben Fernandez about the orgins of what has become one of the biggest annual events put on in this community.
