TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Nogales's Boys Soccer team maintained control of Section II Saturday with a 4-1 road win at Rincon-University.

The Apaches jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first half thanks to goals by Ivan Pompa, Victor Quinonez, J.P. Segura.

The Rangers stifled most of the game by Nogales' stingy defense managed their lone tally in 54th minute when Hakim Kikuni scored.

Christian Gil added Nogales' final goal. The Apaches are 8-1-5 on the season and 6-0-2 in section play.

Nogales reached the state semifinals last season where the Apaches were knocked out by eventual state champion Tucson High.
