TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A big road hazard on Tucson's east side left several drivers feeling flat.

Tucson police said someone fixed a metal shaft or a shank to a manhole cover on Golf Links, near Harrison, blowing out the tires on at least 15 to 20 cars on Jan. 28.

In nearly every case, police said drivers had damage to both their front and rear tires.

Tucson police are investigating this, along with the possibility of another spike intentionally planted near Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.

Anyone with information is urged to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
