University of Arizona women's golf moved up four spots to fourth place after completing the second round of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Invitational on Monday. The Wildcats recorded a second round score of 295 (+7), the best of the day. With Sunday's score of 301 (+13), Arizona moves to 596 (+20) overall, eight shots back from the lead.
Freshman Krystal Quihuis continues to lead for the Wildcats and posted another strong performance in the second round. With five birdies on the day, she finishes the second round with a score of 69 (-3). With her score of 73 (+1) on Sunday, she is currently tied for third place overall at 142 (-2).
Senior Manon Gidali recorded four birdies, with three coming consecutively on the front nine. She finished the day at an even 72 and heads into the final round in a tie for 10th place.
Senior Kendall Prince recorded a score of 76 (+4), followed by Junior Lindsey Weaver with a score of 78 (+6). Sophomore Wanasa Zhou rounds out the Arizona five with a score of 82 (+10).
As an individual, sophomore Jessica Vasilic is currently tied for 47th place after a second round score of 76 (+4).
No. 17 LSU continues to lead the pack with a second round score of 304 (+16) to move to 588 (+12) overall. No. 6 UCLA and No. 31 Tulane share the second place position one spot back of the lead at 589 (+13).
