2 local drivers will compete on K&N Pro Series tour

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Ron Norman and Matt Levin are drivin' on up.

Two of Tucson's best stock car drivers in the Super Late Model class are taking their talents to the next level. The pair will compete this season on the 14-race K&N Pro Series West tour which will make its first stop here in Tucson in almost 20 years.

Norman is the nine-time points champ driving in the top class out at Tucson Speedway.

His ninth title was the inaugural season of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series in 2014, a year in which he also took home the coveted State Championship trophy.

Levin finished second in the points race in the Super Late Model class

The pair have been teammates at Tucson's JPU Racing for 16 years.

The K&N Pro Series will come to Tucson on May 2nd.

The 2nd season of NASCAR Whelen Series starts Saturday at March 28 with the Duel in the Desert. The opener will feature races in all divisions.

Norman and Levin will miss the event as the K&N Pro Series West rolls green flag on their season also this Saturday at Kern County Raceway in Bakersfield, California.
