ROCHESTER, Mich. – Arizona head coach Sean Miller will be among 10 elite college basketball coaches lending a hand to raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society this spring, as he will take part in a two-day "Beat Cancer" event in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.

Beginning Monday, April 13, fans can bid for the unique opportunity to spend time with their favorite coach at a private dinner and golf outing at the Oakland Hills Country Club from May 31-June 1.

The bidding will be open until May 1 and can be done online at or by texting "beatcancer" to 24700.

Bidding starts at $10,000 for three golfers, with the selected coach making a foursome. The winning bidders will enjoy an exclusive experience with their selected coach at Oakland Hills CC, host of six U.S. Opens, three PGA Championships and the 2004 Ryder Cup. The package also includes a one-night hotel stay for each guest in their own room at the MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the American Cancer Society. Funds raised will support the Society's mission to save lives and finish the fight against cancer.

Up for auction are 10 spectacular packages, featuring a private dinner with elite basketball coaches, a one night stay at MotorCity Casino Hotel on Sunday, May 31, and an afternoon of golf on Monday, June 1 at Oakland Hills Country Club. The winning bidders and their two guests will round out the foursomes with their selected coach: Steve Alford, Rick Barnes, John Beilein, John Calipari, Bob Huggins, Tom Izzo, Greg Kampe, Sean Miller, Josh Pastner, or Roy Williams.


The bidding period takes place between 10:00 AM ET on April 13, 2015 and 11:59 PM ET on May 1, 2015. Winning bidders will be notified at the close of the auction.
