TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Here come the Houston Astros.
Baseball's hottest team won their 10th straight game on Sunday and a Tucsonan is right in the middle of the streak.
Pueblo High School grad Francisco Romero calls the play-by-play on the team's Spanish radio broadcast. He is in his 8th season with the club.
Houston has won 14 of their last 15 games and have the American League's best record at 18-7 with a seven-game lead in the West over the Anaheim Angels.
The club's 15-7 record in April was their best first month since 1986. The Astros have hit an A.L-high 40 home runs this season and have a league-best 31 stolen bases.
Houston's pitching has been dynamite with a 3.12 ERA, second lowest in the league. Ace Dallas Kuechel is 3-0 in five starts with an ERA of 0.73.
Romero is also the play-by-play voice for Arizona Wildcats football and men's basketball.
