BISBEE, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Travel restrictions start next week for those heading out on State Route 80, just west of Bisbee.
Arizona Department of Transportation crews are working to improve a seven mile segment of State Route 80 between the State Route 90 Junction and the Mule Pass Tunnel. Work will last from 6 a.m. through 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.
A pilot car will escort cars in both directions through the restricted areas. Delays could last up to 15 minutes for those driving through here. These lane closures will stay in place for about six weeks, according to ADOT.
The project includes milling and paving of the two lane highway, as well as building up existing shoulders and performing other maintenance work.
The construction project should be complete by October of this year.
