Reid Park Zoo and the Tucson Medical Center are teaming up to host Summer Safari Friday Nights, a family friendly event with a little bit of something for everyone to enjoy.
Guests will have the chance to experience the zoo during the cooler evening hours on Friday nights, beginning on May 22. There are special dining options, live music and even gift shop discounts during the event. Don't forget to bring a blanket to enjoy a picnic style concert.
There will also be animal encounters and wildlife activities to participate in, though guests should know the animals are given access to their night-houses and many may not be on exhibit during the evening's activities.
Opening night, this Friday, May 22 is 'Scales and Feathers' and will feature the reptiles and birds in the zoo. This is also Military Appreciation Night, where military personnel are free with a valid ID.
Live music on Friday will be provided by The Just Intervals.
