TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Octagon awaits Anthony Birchak.

The bantamweight mixed martial arts fighter from Sahuarita will fight for the second time under the UFC umbrella when he takes on Joe Soto at UFC Fight Night 68 in New Orleans.

Birchak lost in his UFC debut late last year to Ian Entwhistle, who submitted him in the first round.

That defeat snapped a five-fight win streak and dropped his career professional record to 11-2.

Birchak was originally suppose to fight Soto in his debut last September but the bout was scratched when an injury in the card's main event forced Soto up to the title match.

Soto is 15-3 and has not fought since a loss in that title match to current bantamweight champion T.J. Dillishaw.

The Birchak-Soto bout is Saturday, June 6 at the Smoothie King Center.
