TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Beginning June 1, the campground at Cochise Stronghold will be closed due to increasing temperatures in the area during the summer months, according to the Coronado National Forest, Douglas Ranger District.
Visitors can still enjoy camping in the East and West Stronghold areas, remembering to practice 'leave no trace' and to extinguish campfires completely during their time camping.
The closure begins on June 1 with a re-open date of August 28, 2015.
