Construction: Work starts for new turn lane in Oro Valley

ORO VALLEY, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Oro Valley drivers can expect driving delays along Oracle Road for the next few months, as crews add a new turn lane to a popular intersection.

Construction for a second turn lane at Oracle Road and Steam Pump Way began on Monday, June 1. Oro Valley officials said this work should continue through September.

This new turn lane will be an addition to the existing turn lane at that intersection, leading into Steam Pump Village. Officials said it's needed to accommodate peak morning and evening traffic into that development.

Always remember to drive slowly and carefully through all construction zones. Watch for workers and equipment.
