Quihuis, Weaver Earn WGCA Awards

TUCSON, Ariz. – Junior Lindsey Weaver and freshman Krystal Quihuis earned All-America honors from the Women's Golf Coaches' Association (WGCA), it was announced on Saturday. The Wildcats finished fifth in stroke play to advance to the quarterfinals of match play last week at the NCAA Championships.

Earning her second career accolade, Weaver was named WGCA Second-Team All-America. She also collected first-team All-Pac-12 honors in April. In 2015, Weaver led the Cats with 16 rounds played at or below par, a 72.98 stroke average, six top-10 finishes and eight top-20 finishes. She was Arizona's top player in the three postseason tournaments.

Quihuis was named WGCA Honorable Mention All-America after earning All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention honors in April. In NCAA Championships stroke play, she earned a top-25 finish, was the sixth-best freshman and the top Pac-12 rookie. On the season, Quihuis shot nine rounds at or below par, recorded a stroke average of 73.69 and earned six top-20 finishes.
