Road Recovery: Paving kicks off on midtown portion of Speedway

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Road Recovery work continues around Tucson, this time on a midtown portion of Speedway Boulevard.

Tucson Department of Transportation crews started construction along Speedway Boulevard on Wednesday, between Campbell Avenue and Second Avenue, just west of Euclid Avenue.

Crews will work during the day this week, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. They will lower manhole and water valve covers through Friday, June 5.

Workers will then start milling and paving work along Speedway Boulevard on Tuesday, June 9. To reduce public impact, TDOT has scheduled this as night time work. Delays will span from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night. This should wrap up after Thursday, June 11.

Remember to slow down and drive carefully in all construction zones. Expect delays both east and west on Speedway Boulevard.

Road Recovery is a $100 million, five year street bond program, funded by voter approved bonds.
