Tucson, Wildcats Collect Academic Accolades

Tucson, AZ - Four members of the University of Arizona women's golf team earned Pac-12 Conference All-Academic honors, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday.

Sophomore Wanasa Zhou, winner of the NCAA Elite 89 award, was named Pac-12 All-Academic First-Team with her cumulative GPA of 4.00 as an accounting major.

Senior Kendall Prince and junior Lindsey Weaver were both named Pac-12 All-Academic Second-Team. Earning her second career award, Prince holds a cumulative GPA of 3.56 as a marketing major. She participated in graduation ceremonies in May and is working for Nike's internship program this summer. Also a Women's Golf Coaches' Association Second-Team All-American, Weaver holds a cumulative GPA of 3.56 with a major in finance.

Senior Manon Gidali was named Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention. She participated in graduation ceremonies in May and holds a cumulative GPA of 3.06 as an economics major.

In April, the Wildcats won their eighth Pac-12 Conference title (1992, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2010, 2015) and their first since the 2010 season. UA went on to finish tied for fifth at the NCAA Championships, advancing to the quarterfinals of stroke play.
