Rondae and T.J have their day with the Suns

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Friday was UA Day at Talking Stick Resort Arena.

The Phoenix Suns welcomed a pair of Arizona Wildcats to workout. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and T.J. McConnell worked out in separate groups for the NBA club in preparation for the NBA draft.

Hollis-Jefferson and McConnell were both fan favorites in Tucson. Jefferson, deciding to depart the Wildcats after his sophomore season, averaged 11 points and seven rebounds last season and is projected as a mid-to-low first round pick.

McConnell played two seasons for UA after transferring from Duquense. He averaged 10 points and six assists in helping lead the Cats to the Elite Eight.

He could see himself drafted in the second round but also might fall out of the two-round selection process and have to sign as a free agent.

The pair appeared in Phoenix just days after their teammate Brandon Ashley worked out for the Suns.
