Road restrictions in place south of Tucson

GREEN VALLEY, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Drivers will encounter closures on I-19 this week, while crews make rest area improvements just south of Green Valley.

Arizona Department of Transportation will restrict northbound I-19 near The Canoa Ranch Rest Area every day this week, between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m. 

The left lane of northbound I-19 will close to traffic on Monday, June 8. The right lane of northbound I-19 will then close on Tuesday and Wednesday. The left lane will shut down again on Thursday. The right lane will then close later that day.

Finally, the entrance to the northbound I-19 rest area at Canoa Ranch Road will close to cars on Friday, June 12. 

Always remember to slow down in all work areas. Look out for construction workers and equipment.
