Trio Named Golfweek All-America

TUCSON, AZ - Three members of the University of Arizona women's golf team earned Golfweek All-America honors, it was announced on Thursday.

Junior Lindsey Weaver was named Golfweek Second-Team All-America. She collected first-team All-Pac-12 honors in April. In 2015, Weaver led the Cats with 16 rounds played at or below par, a 72.98 stroke average, six top-10 finishes and eight top-20 finishes. She was Arizona's top player in the three postseason tournaments.

Senior Manon Gidali was named Golfweek Honorable Mention All-America. Also an All-Pac-12 First-Team and Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention honoree, she finished the season with a stroke average of 73.78 and six top-20 finishes.

Freshman Krystal Quihuis was named Golfweek Honorable Mention All-America. The 2015 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, Quihuis was also named WGCA Honorable Mention All-America after earning All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention honors in April. In NCAA Championships stroke play, she earned a top-25 finish, was the sixth-best freshman and the top Pac-12 rookie.

In April, the Wildcats won their eighth Pac-12 Conference title (1992, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2010, 2015) and their first since the 2010 season. UA went on to finish tied for fifth at the NCAA Championships, advancing to the quarterfinals of stroke play.
