Road Recovery project postponed due to excessive heat

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Due to excessive overnight road surface temperatures, City of Tucson has postponed road improvement work until early October.

Tucson Department of Transportation was originally scheduled to start fog sealing work in the following areas this week:

-Fort Lowell Road from Oracle Road to Country Club Road

-Campbell Avenue from Prince Road to Fort Lowell Road

-Intersection of Country Club Road and Fort Lowell Road

-Intersection of Stone Avenue and Fort Lowell Road

-Campbell Avenue from Benson Highway to Valencia Road

-Intersection of Tanque Verde Road and Catalina Highway

Fog sealing is the application of a thin, water based asphalt mix. This helps cover road cracks or voids and therefore  protects and extends a street's life.

Road Recovery is funded by voter-approved bonds. Road resurfacing will go through the year 2018.
