Crews begin paving work on Valencia Road

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Southeast side drivers should plan for extra delays Friday, as crews begin paving a portion of Valencia Road.

Pima County Department of Transportation workers will pave Valencia Road between Craycroft Road and Wilmot Road, as part of the long term widening project happening on Valencia Road, between Alvernon Way and Wilmot Road. 

Crews will be out in the area near Davis Monthan Air Force Base from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Drivers can expect minor delays for paving. Look for speeds of 25 miles per hour.

This schedule can change based on excessive heat or equipment failure.
